I spotted Kiku get up out of his seat at Yang's urging, and I watched curiously. He seemed a little reluctant to leave his student council reports, but probably didn't want to get bugged by his little sibling any further. Discovering that I didn't have much to do myself other than to read or do homework - not that I did have any -, I followed Kiku, wondering where he was going to go. The school campus wasn't the most exciting place in the world, however, when it grew hot in the summer, some students had picnics during spares, free time, studying or lunch. Basically whenever they wanted. A few students from the nature club had planted a tulip garden a while ago, and several willow trees around the pond, so it was rather pleasant now. I looked around for Kiku when I saw him with the music teacher, Mr. Edelstein. I didn't want to appear rude or anything, so I went over to say hello. "Halló."

He looked up from Japan to Iceland, "Hi. . ." He said back.

I hesitated for a few moments. "Is something the matter?" I didn't socially interact with others very often, so I didn't really get many visual cues right away. I realized that Edelstein was probably grumpy because he couldn't play the piano with a broke arm. "Oh... the piano recital? I-I was sort of looking forward to that too... I was going to play a song." I sighed loudly. "I hope you get better soon, however. It's not fun to have a broken arm."

I nodded. "Yeah, and I was going to play a few pieces that I wrote. I suppose I have more time now that it's cancelled." I paused, hearing the loud music pulsing from the gymnasium, "Don't they have the music... rather loud?" I asked Professor Edelstein as I glanced back at the school. "I mean, they don't need it that loud..." There was a pause in the music, and if I listened closely, I could hear someone singing.

And why am I listening to Absolutely Invincible British Gentleman? Why is England's Demon Summoning Song stuck in my head? Why do I want to try to play it on the piano? Why do I have the perfect idea for a fanfic or comic but am too lazy to do it? Why am I asking so many questions?

As soon as I finished singing the song -with or without Arthur- I blushed brightly and bowed as everyone around us started clapping and cheering. "D-de rien..." I said, before realising that only around half of the students knew French so I repeated it in English. "Y-you're welcome..." I blushed even deeper, for I knew that a few students didn't appreciate people speaking in French... It was more because of cultural and historic reasons. I couldn't blame them; Alfred and I can't agree on anything either.

I stepped back into the crowd with Arthur as some people started performing on stage. Even the juggling club decided on putting on a show with flaming clubs and such. It was all going excellent until one of the less experienced ones accidentally let the clubs fly too high. Everyone, with transfixed eyes, watched as if hypnotised, staring at the dancing fire as it hit the ceiling of the gym, knocking several fans and whatever things are up there(some genius put POSTERS up there... Like anyone was going to look up!) and they all started to rain down on the shocked students below. Like me.

"G-get out! Out! Dehors!" I shouted loudly, frantically trying to shove everyone out of the burning gym. As soon as I started shepherding them out, everyone went into full panic. And when that happened, random people started collapsing around me, from fright or from the burning objects. Mostly everyone got out, however. I wanted to save all the people still in the gym, even though I knew the fire department would retrieve. I couldn't help but hesitate, sensing something was run. I looked around hurriedly, trying to locate Arthur. "A-Arthur!" I shrieked, but I was almost sure her couldn't hear me over the battling flames at they fought over one another in a race to see who'd hold claim for the domination of the gym.

A large, sparking fan was heading for the Brit.

"N-nooooo!" Suddenly filled with adrenaline, I bolted over and knocked the blonde out of the way, and got hit by the fan. As the world spun wildly and I tried to keep consciousness, I called back out to Arthur. "R-run! I-I'll be fine! Go!" After I said that, my vision went black.

[[OOC: Ugh I think I'm slowly killing Canada with my horrible and fail twisting plot lines... Someone scold me already... BAD ME

Dehors: Direct translation is 'outside' but it could be slanged and be 'out'. 

Yes, I am trying to do this without the help of a translator, so it'll be a little rough... Sorry XD


AND WHY THE FRENCH?

Well I find not may actually think of Canada's bilingualism... I mean, it's never mentioned, I just have to make an inference of course... And I'm going to conclude all countries are fluent in their country's official languages as well as know a little of others if they're multicultural. So yay!

When Matthew had finished singing, I applauded enthusiastically, and handed the microphone back to the singer. As I started back to Ardente, I spotted the performers, juggling and throwing clubs on fire into the air. I stopped to watch, but hadn't noticed that the things on the ceiling had caught on fire until Matthew started freaking out and telling everyone, who started running out. I helped to escort some of the students safely out, without anyone stampeding others. S-so far, so good... 

I finally got everyone out of the school just as the fire alarms went off. I turned around to brag to Arthur and Matthew that I was truly a hero when I realised neither of the two were behind me. "W-what? Where'd they go?" I glanced about the crowd, but didn't see them. They must be back in the gymnasium! I fought my way back into the school, despite protests from escaping students. Please don't let them be dead...

As soon as I emerged from the crowd and into the nearly empty school, I started sprinting to the gym, and burst in there by kicking open the door. "MATTY! ARTHUR!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. Something caught my eye and I saw Arthur and Matthew in the centre of the room. My brother was trying to warn the Brit of something, and finally pushed him out of the way just as one of the giant ceiling fans came crashing down on him. "No!!! MATT!" I yelled, running over to help. "A-Arthur... You go o-outside! I-I'll save him!" I exclaimed, running over to haul the hunk of metal off. 

It took several tries, but I finally got it off and quickly grabbed Matthew, carrying him as I bolted out of the gym. As I ran, I saw that Arthur had yet to evacuate. "WHAT ARE YOU WAITIN' FOR DUDE!" I ended up grabbing him as well and trying as best as I could to get out of there. The firefighters finally arrived and a couple of them helped me bring Matthew and Arthur out. "T-thanks..." I said, panting and following quickly after.

I heard loud screams and running behind me, and turned quickly. "Why are they all running away?" I looked at the school. "Is something on... fire?" When the fire fighters arrived, my suspicions were confirmed. "Oh no, I hope no one is hurt."


~Matthew Williams~

A fallen rose. A book with it's pages fluttering. A clock with it's arms flying in different directions. A gray alien. A piano with coloured notes and numbers. Blood everyone. Someone whispering "A nation can never die. It always has to be there for it's people." Several gunshots could be heard right after. I didn't fully comprehend the pictures as the flew by me in the crazed dream. "S-stop! Just for o-ne moment!" I cried desperately, but the words that rang out were empty and had no effect on the scenes around me. A hand, reaching out, started coming towards me. The owner was not far behind. "Canada. Please get up. I found you on the ground with all this maple syrup..."

Whatever the person was going to say faded off as I suddenly awoke.

I found myself in a white, sterile hospital room, aching all over. I looked around, searching for the others. Where's Arthur? Or - or Alfred? Or anyone? When I didn't locate them, I started panicking. A nurse walked in and told me to calm down. "Don't worry, the others are alright. Just try to get some rest." She said. "B-but... is a-anyone else injured? O-or... even... d-dead?" I asked, scared. The nurse shook her head. "Not seriously injured. You're probably the only one with some major ones. And luckily, everyone survived."

Letting out a sigh of relief, I allowed myself to relax. "T-that's... good."

Yes, I'm going to say that when the HetaOni countries made human names, they... accidently made humans of themselves whom later went to the academy. They 'lost' their memories first, but get flashes of them.

"Yo, bro~!" I called excitedly as I entered the room. "How's it goin'? Are ya okay?" I asked, sitting down on the edge of the bed just as the nurse finished explaining everything.  "Y'know... I should be really thankin' ya... And a lot of the student's. If you hadn't warned us about the fire, a lot of people wouldn't have made it." I paused, taking a couple of moments to ruffle the Canadian's hair as a gesture of comfort.  "Two seconds is enough time to save lives in a situation where people could die."

When Matthew was done singing, I clapped softly. He's a pretty good singer! I looked around. All was peaceful until Matthew freaked out about the fire. I looked around at the horror that suddently appeared. People where running to the exit. The annoying girly-girls where screaming. (I've always hated them. They never know when to keep quite, they are constantly making teachers mad and I've seen America do smarter things...) I was constantly being knocked into. "E-Exuse me...C-Could you guys be a bit more careful" I said almost being knocked to the ground. Perhaps I should try getting out. I think Milak can get out himself I ran with the others outside, looking into the fire.

I was one of the the last ones in the rush to get out. A few more people where coming out. I hope no one dies... I yawned. Man....I'm tired... I saw a clear area of grass away from the fire, but still on school grounds. Hmm...Maybe I should take a nap...Nah, we'll probably get re-located. We all ended up going to the hospital.

When we got to the hospital, we where each put into a room with another person. I got stuck with one of those girly-girls. Most people call someone like her a hoe, but I'm a nice person so I don't call her that. (In this personality....) She wasn't a country, she and other people where transferred here after some bus crashing into their school or something along that line. The nurse came in and looked at me. "Hello I'm just going to make sure you two aren't harmed from the fire. Lets start with you." She was talking about me.

Minutes later I was done. I was good. I had gotten out of the building quickly. "You may leave. Your teachers are in the waiting room. You may visit any students who are still being checked. The list of people and their locations is in the hallway" I walked into the hallway and looked at the list. I might as well see how Matthew's doing. I found his name on the list and walked to his room. I peeked inside. A-America's already here. I should wait for him to finish then go in after.

I smiled, blushing. "Th-thanks, Al." I said. "I-I just hope you don't mind that I w-went out w-with Arthur... You don't mind, do you? And as for all that... I think I only have some minor burns, bruises and scratches. N-nothing that w-won't heal with time..." "Two seconds is enough time to save lives in a situation where people could die." That question seemed familiar, as if the American had said it before. As in to someone else. When I started to think about it, something outside caught my eye. It was Mary, who was standing just outside the door. I motioned for her to enter, trying to somehow gesture with my hands that Alfred and I weren't busy at all.

I saw Matthew gesture and walked in "H-Hello! I hope I'm not interrupting anything." I said quietly "I just came to see how Matthew is. But, I can wait until Alfred is done with his conversation with Matthew. I'll just be in the corner, over there, looking at the stuff" I pointed ti the corner as I went into the corner and looked at some of the posters and other things.

"Non, it's perfectly fine! W-we're done, so you can talk to me if you w-want... I actually might need your help for something." I paused fot a few moments, attempting conjure some sort of situation I'd need help with. "W-well, you see, a lot of the other students don't know my condition, and they all know w-who I am roughly, so I w-was planning of performing some sort of song as I w-walk in and surprise them all. Should I w-write one... Or use an existing song? Shall I be dramatic? Should I w-walk in, throwing paper all over? Should I run in w-with a flaming costume or w-what?" I asked. I knew I stopped making sense after the song writing part, but I was making up random things by then.

"Singing sounds delightful! You should sing." I said walking over "But I don't think you should enter the room with a flammable costume. It sounds very dangerous, we don't want another building lit on fire. The other students might be a bit offended. Also, the students might be depressed, perhaps you should try singing something upbeat and happy." I yawned "Man, I'm really tired. I didn't get any sleep last night."

I laughed. "Hey, I was joking about the flaming costume! It's not like I'm going to show up to up to the seventy-fourth Hunger Games. I might just wear..." I thought for a few moments. "Ah! I can wear my fur coat. I only wear that for occasions or when I go back to my house." I said, feeling more confident by the second. "And the song... Hmm. I don't think I'm good at writings upbeat songs so I better find one. Even though I did sing a pretty good one last Tuesday..." I considered it for a few seconds. "But then, it's in Romanji, so I probably can't sing it. How about Glad You Came? I've had it stuck in my head for a while..."

"I dunno, but pick one soon. I think ya gonna be released from the hospital soon cuz you're no injured very badly. I heard from a teach that we're goin' to be transferred to one of the other academies while we wait for ours to be fixed and stuff." I said as I stifled a loud yawn."And Mary, ya can go to bed when ever ya want to. I might go to my new dorm in the new school cuz I'm startin' to get a little sleepy, and the hero should always have a good amount of rest. See y'all later~!"

 I left the room, and and the hospital. I made my way to one of the waiting buses in the parking lot. There was a lot of them there, waiting to pick up some of the students who were leaving. I got into the first one I saw, and sat down beside a quiet Egyptian. "'Sup, dude?" I asked, but they didn't reply. So much for that, I guess. The rest of the ride was in complete, awkward, silence.

When we arrived, I got off and followed the line of students towards the front hall of the academy. Amazingly, this one seemed even larger than us, with hundreds of students chatting excitedly all around. "Wowzers, this is MY type of school!" I exclaimed happily as one of the prefects walked up to me. "Hey! You must be one of the students from The World Academy, no? Welcome to The Celestial Lunar Academy! I'm Steve Gin!" He greeted me cheerfully. 

Judging by the way they looked and how they spoke, I guessed that Steve was also American. "Yo, Steve! I'm Alfred F. Jones." I replied as happily. He smiled back. "I will show you the boy common room, and you can choose your dorm. We have plenty of extras, so don't worry! But don't forget, dinner is at five o'clock!" I followed the prefect down a series of hallways and into a big common room full of boys talking, playing games, hanging out or doing homework. 

Steve raised his hand, and everyone looked up at him. "Hey everybody! I want y'all to welcome my new friend here, Alfred! He's from The World Academy, and will be stayin' here shortly because of the fire." I was instantly met with happy greetings and pats on the back. "Okay, okay! Thanks for the welcome an' all but I'm kinda sleepy. I hope you don't mind if I go to my dorm..." I said, walking towards one of the other doors in the room and going inside.

I saw a lot of doors, all leading to a dormitory. Choosing an empty one near the end, I closed the door and sat down on the bed. "I could get used to this..." I said sleepily as I felt the cushiony mattress. "Very..." A few minutes later I was fast asleep.

"Hmm..." I thought about the songs I should sing. "Aha! I have it. Now... I think I know the lyrics off by heart so don't worry about me." I took my phone out of pocket, where had been the whole time. I texted someone, and within a few moments, another nurse came in and handed me a pile of clothes. "Merci~! I'll be going now!" I said, taking the clothes and leaving.

Before I left the hospital, I got changed into the clothes, which turned out to be a fur coat, pants, a pair of boots and a pair of goggles. Once again, I had a feeling of déja-vu , but I assumed it had to do with the clothes. It happened all the time when I had them on. Don't think about it, Matt. It's probably just nothing. I sighed loudly, then continued walking to where the buses were waiting to pick up students. I looked at the small  amount of them, and guessed that most of the students were at the other school. Good. The bigger the audience, the bigger the effect. I paused before getting into a bus. Wait. That sounded suspiciously like America... I banished that thought immediately. I was over thinking this too much.

A few minutes later, I arrived at the school. Now, there was a few student walking about, but I guessed that most were in their dorms or in the library. I quickly went through the lyrics of my song before walking towards the door labelled 'Boys Dormitories'. I opened the door, and started to sing instantly.

As I finished, a bunch of the students started to applaud and cheer.

"He-ey! Another vocalist!"

"Very good!"

"Yeah... I do some singing, but I do it more as a hobby. I don't take classes or anything..." I said, blushing brightly. As I glanced about the room, I could recognise a lot of the students from our academy. Then it hit me that I hadn't told them my name yet. "So... Um... I-I'm Matthew. Matthew Williams..." Feeling my face burn redder from all of the attention, I quickly ran into the dormitory hallway, and went into the dorm that was the farthest away from the common room.

I lied down on the bed, and found it softer than the ones at our school. Huh. Hundreds of more students than us, more singers, comfy beds... There's something weird here that I can't put my finger on. I recalled having an uneasy feeling since I had walked in, but couldn't place why. Oh well...

"Hey, hey! Matthew can you get up? Dinner's ready!" 

A voice called as someone shook me awake. Matthew? Is this some sort of joke? I looked up to see Steve shaking me. He didn't seem to have a mischievous expression on his face. "Um, dude, ya made a mistake. I'm not Matt. I'm Alfred, his twin brother." I said, getting up sleepily. "Ohhh, sorry Alfred! You two look almost exactly the same! I guess it makes sense if you're twins. Now, follow me to the dining hall. We have a feast prepared." The excited American bounced out of the room, and I followed after him.

As I walked by student s in the hallway, they all greeted me with a "Hey Matt!", even when I corrected half of them. But Matt's the one who always gets mistaken for me! When Steve and I arrived in the dining hall, I gasped loudly. There was tables full of every kind of food you could imagine. "Wowzers, can I start?" I asked, eager to eat straight away. At our old school, the food was okayish, but not awesome.

A few hours after my entrance, at around five o'clock, someone walked in to escort me for dinner. "Hey Matthew! Dinner's ready, and you must see the vocal club! They've been very excited since you arrived, and want to speak with you immediately during dinner. C'mon!" The cheerful student called as he rushed back out of the door. I followed closely behind, not eager to be left in my room. It seemed fairly exciting that some people finally remembered who I was for a change. I wondered briefly how Alfred was getting on.

I entered the dining hall to see long tables stacked with all sorts of foods from around the world. To my delight, I even spotted some platters of pancakes. Before I could dash over to take some of the maple syrup, I stopped myself. I better not go too crazy; lots of the other students will be watching me. It suddenly hit me that I was still wearing the coat I had came in with, but I shrugged it off. Oh well. I could always change tomorrow.

The student who had woken me up showed me to a table full of chatty teenagers who seemed to be discussing songs, pitches, lyrics and other vocal things. Wow... Can I even fit in with all of them?

I followed Alfred "I think I'll sleep on the bus." I looked back at Matthew "It's great to see you're okay." I went into the hallway.

Minutes later, I was in the bus. I sat next to a noisy-chested female. I can't get any sleep next to this girl. I looked out the window. Meh....I hope the new school will let me sleep. This is the second time a building I was in was set on fire. There must be some unlucky quality about me.

When I got into the school, people where looking at us. I was a bit seperated from the group A girl walked over. I wasn't looking at her, so her encounter was a surprise. "Hello! You must a transfer student! Welcome to The Celestial Lunar Academy! I'm Alexis!" The girl greeted me. I froze in fear. Someone's talking to me! Should I hide? Should I hit her before she hits me? I should try talking to her... I took a slightly deep breath. "H-H-H-H-Hello. I-I'm Mary." I turned to her and scratched the back of my head awkwardly. She looked at me strangely "Are you okay? Do you have a wierd speech pattern or something?" She asked me. "I-I'm very shy. I have a hard time being around strangers. I don't trust people easily." She paused before responding "It's okay! Let's go show to the dorms! We have many open, you can pick one." She walked away and jestured me to follow, which I did.

Later, after I chose my dorm (which was far away from the other girls), Alexis explained that there was a feast for our arrival. We walked together. I learned more about her. She was in the same grade. She has two little brothers and her parents are divorced.

Minutes later we were at the dining hall. I saw the big bowl of baby corn. I grabbed the bowl and sat in an empty seat. I looked at the people looking at me. "S-Sorry...D-Does anyone want some corn?"

"So how have you been singing for?" One of the vocalists asked me curiously. "Oh, for quite some time... But no one noticed until now," I replied, blushing a little more. "Oh, really? That's interesting! Do you like doing anything else besides singing?" An orange haired boy piped up as I placed some pancakes on to my plate and drenching them in maple syrup*. No one seemed to notice nor care.

"Well, I do draw a little, but it's more for hobby... And I love reading. Nothing too extravagant." I said, starting to eat the pancakes. "Art? I do believe we have an art club and reading club as well! What kind of style do you like the best?" Someone else asked. "Hmm... Probably anime style, though I do landscapes and buildings as well. Speaking of which, I was working on a project about what place you wanted to go to, and it was turning out pretty good, but I'm afraid it could've been destroyed in the fire." A few students sighed in sympathy.

"Heeeeeeeeey everyone, aru~!" I exclaimed excitedly as I sat down at a table where a group of kids around my age were sitting. Most of them greeted me, while the rest shyly smiled. "Hi, I'm Yang, from the World Academy!" I introduced myself. The other students told me their names, and soon, we were immersed in a big conversation about leopards.

I entered the immense cafeteria, instantly met with large amounts of people I didn't recognise, which further locked in my status as Socially Awkward Penguin. I tried to find some people from my school, but couldn't locate a single one, so I sat down at the first table I saw, hoping no one would ask me any questions.

"No, I don't need your help finding my way to the dormitories or the dining hall, dammit!"

For some reason, all of these students kept coming up to me, offering to show me to different parts of the school. Can they not take no for an answer? Jeez! After several failed attempts, I managed to find my way into the dining hall, and sat down at a random table that didn't have a bunch of chatty kids at it.

"I think I'll be fine, thank you very much, though," I told the students who were volunteering to show me their school. "I have to go meet with the student council from my academy and the teachers so we can talk about the current situation." I dipped my head respectfully, then went into the dining hall to search for the members of the student council of The World Academy, but took around five minutes to find them siting at a table near the back. "Ah... There you are."

I quickly sat down at some random table and began to introduce myself. "Sup everyone? I'm Alfred F. Jones, also known as the hero." I said loudly, but no one seemed to notice. "Hello...? Anyone? Is anyone listenin' to me? Or even noticin' me?" I poked the kid sitting beside me repeatedly. They didn't turn around. Why isn't anyone talkin' to me?

"Oh really? Awesome!" I was busy conversing with a bunch of students who were from the other Nordic countries. "I'm from Denmark, or more specifically, Greenland," I said as I smiled at another Dane. "No, I didn't know that people from so many different countries came here as well! I thought that only our academy, The World Academy, had that. Wow, that's so cool! I didn't know you could do that with puffins either! I'll have to check that out as soon as summer break arrives."

And I hope Arthur's family isn't that busy this summer... We could probably plan some trip over there! And maybe we can pay a visit to my family as well! "You haven't been to Europe? Well, sooner or later, I think I'll have to drag you there myself if you don't come!" One of the students, who was from Estonia, joked loudly. "Oh, and by the way, did you hear the winners of the tickets for your school dance?" Someone piped up, immediately catching my attention. "They've actually decided on giving tickets to several couples! Imagine that! I believe one of the couples was you and Arthur Kirkland, right?" The kid turned to address me excitedly. I nodded. But then... Where is Arthur? I haven't seen him since the fire...
